I have always been passionate about style and the fashion arts. Upon completing high school, I followed my passion and was accepted at the Ontario College of Art and Design. Fueled by desire and hard work, I graduated in 1994, winning the Carol Rapp design award for Jewelry design. Immediately, I started my own jewelry company to continue my creative designs and share them with the public. In 1996, I spent four months in Israel cutting diamonds to improve my knowledge of gemstones.
For the past 15 years, I have been working hard at developing and growing my business. I currently have a large clientele base in both the wholesale market, and with individual clients. My work is found in fine shops all across the country and I participate in the One of a Kind craft show twice a year since 1996 to sell my work directly to my customers.

Guest Artist at: 92 Balsam Ave
My latest work has been the Pre-Cambrian Rock Formations of the Canadian Shield in the islands of Georgian Bay. The oldest rocks in the world are gems of natural design. They have been there for me all my life and it surprises me it took me so long to record them.
From 2002 to the present, I have visited Cuba every year and shot images, mostly of Havana, the facades and balconies of the old city, the vintage taxis, the Hemingway Estate , Flamenco and Arabian dance groups , the Unesco Heritage Site of Trindad and the "Angels" of the Colon Cementario in both infrared and colour film. Havana is a "Time Warp" waiting for the US 'embargo' to end, a "City of the Imagination".

Guest Artist at: 29 Rainsford Road
Irina Rapaport is a mixed media artist; she has been a craft artist for more than 18 years…(see www.woodenzoo. com for previous craft). Irina is mixing the collage and wire beads with other textures and materials to create her one of a kind jewelry pieces. Her jewelry motifs revolve around themes of color, texture and juxtaposition of shades and hues of same colors. She creates a bold and graphic distinctive line of jewelry.

Charlene Serdan - Photographs
905-849-1930 www.underabluesky.etsy.com cs.designs@hotmail.com
Host Artist at: #12 2368 Queen Street East
Charlene is a self-taught photographer. Inspired by nature, her images are an expression of her love for the ordinary and the extraordinary, for all things great, all things small, and everything in between – a love for the hidden details that may be found under a blue, blue sky. Recently, she has been experimenting with “through the viewfinder” photography - the practice of capturing a digital image through the viewfinder of a vintage camera. This results in images containing dust, blur and a vintage-like feel. Their beauty lies in their slight imperfections.

Dianne Shelton - Paintings
416.699-4358 www.dianneshelton.ca dianne.shelton@sympatico.ca
Host Artist 59 Fernwood Park Avenue
Dianne’s recent paintings reflect memories of her travels throughout her 37-year career as a flight attendant.
When she started painting landscapes for the first time a few years ago, a good friend observed that the aerial views seemed to be about take-offs and landings and unwittingly her new work is a reflection of this.
Always an artist, her painterly style and abstract sensations are evident in this new series of intensely hued acrylics and oils on canvas.
In addition to the new landscapes for this studio tour Dianne will also be exhibiting some of her figurative work for which she is well known.
Dianne is an active member of The Red Eye gallery In Toronto’s Historic Distillery District. She also accepts commission work throughout the year.

Sheila Thompson - Textile Art
416-988-9704 www.treesforjustice.com Sheila@treesforjustice.com
Host Artist 343 Waverley Rd
Sheila specializes in unique hand-built felt that is unlike the usual perception of felt as a hard-wearing grey fabric. Her felts are undisciplined, soft, colourful and highly textured through the incorporation of a wide range of organic materials. Leaf skeletons, seaweed, sweet grass, and shed bark are imbedded into the fabric as the felt is created.
She draws her inspiration from her geographic and ecological research and travel in Africa, the Caribbean and Canada. She aims to capture the view you might see from airplanes and satellites, or if you floated a metre over the surface of the sea, or if you took a slice through the ocean or looked up at a hill or the sky.
Look for the new collection of middens - mini 3d landscapes.
Sheila exhibits twice yearly with the Beach Studio Tour and is a regular contributor to the Shadowbox auction fund raiser for the Textile Museum of Canada. See other works at the Norman Felix Gallery She welcomes commissioned works.
